This summer, Plaine Commune and its nine towns were the beating heart of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, hosting iconic facilities such as the Stade de France, the Olympic Aquatics Centre and the Athletes' Village. Driven by this momentum, the Établissement Public Territorial is pursuing its ambition: to make Plaine Commune a new area of metropolitan hospitality. Currently undergoing a transformation, the Pleyel district is establishing itself as a symbol of this new vision, combining attractiveness and sustainability.

A rapidly-transforming territory

With 460,000 inhabitants spread over nearly 31 miles (half the surface area of Paris), Plaine Commune is one of the leading intermunicipalities in Paris Region. Its territorial dynamic, common to the 9 towns of Plaine Commune, is particularly evident in the sectors and industries of the future: cultural and creative industries, innovation, tourism, etc.

A land of excellence and large-scale projects, Plaine Commune is the region's third largest economic center. Large, prestigious and innovative companies thrive there thanks to an attractive environment, while contributing to development that is firmly focused on the social and sustainable transition.

Pleyel: the new center of Greater Paris

The Pleyel district, which is undergoing a complete transformation, embodies this renewed ambition. After the commissioning of the largest station of the Grand Paris Express (250,000 passengers/day), the delivery of the Pleyel Urban Crossing (the largest railway crossing in Europe), the redevelopment of the banks of the Seine and the new Athletes' Village district, a new urban project is about to be launched to create the new center of Greater Paris. Tourism, culture and recreational activities will thus complete the future Pleyel district, a district to be experienced and discovered.

A unique cultural and tourist heritage

A veritable territory of culture, creativity and tourism, Plaine Commune is home to a wealth of iconic venues such as the Stade de France, the Basilica Cathedral of Saint-Denis, the flea market in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, the Théâtre de la Commune, the Théâtre Gérard Philippe, the Académie Fratellini, the Zingaro equestrian theater, the Street Art Avenue, etc., as well as art on every street corner.

Plaine Commune is thus reinventing its future based on an ambitious vision, where modernity, connectivity and the quality of life are at the heart of the transformations. The Pleyel district is the perfect symbol of this: undergoing a complete transformation, it is establishing itself as a future nerve center of Greater Paris. With its large-scale infrastructure, its openness to new forms of transportation and its redesigned urban setting, Pleyel will become a strategic and essential location, combining economic dynamism, innovation and cultural attractions. This project illustrates Plaine Commune's commitment to building an area that is both attractive and sustainable, serving its residents, companies and visitors.
