Paris Region Advanced Air Mobility Alliance
Following the call for expression of interest in September 2020, under the name of Re.Invent Air Mobility and the structuring of our industrial and academic ecosystem around the Advanced Air Mobility sector, Groupe ADP, RATP and Choose Paris Region are glad to announce the official branding of our community.
Aware of the imperative to move to cleaner and safer modes of transport, Paris Region, Groupe ADP and RATP Group joined forces to make Advanced Air Mobility a reality. Together, they have built a new alliance. One that encompasses the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, French civil aviation authorities, major industrial players, start-ups and Academic Institutions.
Their goal? Defining an incremental roadmap drawing on a multidisciplinary approach that combines sustainability, innovation, and economic growth.
Concretely, this materialized in the public flight demonstration of an eVTOL during the Paris Air Forum and was followed by the inauguration of an UAM Sandbox and a testing campaign at the Pontoise Airfield. Moving forward, additional tests related to noise impact measurements, airspace integration, infrastructure as well as passenger experience, will take place in real-life conditions in February 2022. This testing campaign will enable the consolidation of the regulatory framework, address technical and economic challenges, and foster strong public acceptance.
Fast-forward to the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, a range of scenarios for pre-commercial services are being explored to link Paris Heliport to Versailles, and Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Le Bourget Airports to the City Center of Paris.
The endgame? Using carbon-free aviation not only to transport passengers but also medical and commercial resources.
Join the Alliance in shaping the future of Advanced Air Mobility in Paris Region and be part of a fast-growing ecosystem.
