Selecting the Future AMLA Site
Three iconic sites have been chosen in Paris for the prospective location of the AMLA. These sites include the Hekla Tower and Cœur Défense in the Défense district, as well as Messenger in the Gare de Lyon district.
These selected buildings fulfill AMLA’s real estate criteria, providing accessibility, flexibility, connectivity, security, environmental standards, and overall comfort for AMLA staff.
Not only chosen for their appeal, these districts are strategically located near entities that would synergize with the future AMLA, such as EBA in La Défense and ESMA at Gare de Lyon. Initially, these European Authorities could potentially host the AMLA project team. Alternatively, AMLA might opt for Plug&Play-equipped premises or flexible offices based on their needs until their permanent headquarters is operational.
Adaptable and innovative, all three buildings are designed to cater to employees’ evolving work requirements, ensuring they align with AMLA’s culture and challenges while prioritizing employee well-being.
The spatial layout possibilities include collaborative zones for both formal and informal exchanges, areas for brainstorming sessions, as well as closed meeting rooms, private offices, and individual workstations. Each building includes shared social spaces and break-out areas such as cafes, kitchenettes, and lounges to foster social interaction and networking.
All sites, whether newly constructed or renovated, comply with the latest international environmental standards and certifications, such as HQE, BREEAM, WELL, WIRED SCORE, as well as quality and efficiency labels like E+C-, Effinergie, and more.
The Hekla building is a 220-meter-high tower designed by Jean Nouvel. Completed in 2022, it stands as the second-tallest building in France. The tower offers unprecedented views, innovative work spaces dedicated to interaction, wellbeing, and all-round excellence. The modularity of the office space makes it possible to meet the needs of all organizations.
